Though our Lions are off tonight, some big games that have implications for us in the race for 4th place in league (and a double bye in next week’s conference tournament).
- Pacific at St. Mary’s (7pm, SM -19.5) - Portland at USF (8pm, USF -8, CBSSN)
In all likelihood, USF is the lone threat to us on Saturday, but they have to travel to BYU. Pacific hosts Portland at 4pm.
How LMU can fully clinch 4th: - Beat Pepperdine on Saturday, or - A loss by both Pacific and USF in the next 2 days
If either Pacific and/or USF win out and we lose Saturday, a tie for 4th ensues (tiebreaker rules were covered on another thread).
Go Lions!

St. Mary's up 17 at half. Don't think they will let Pacific come back. Rooting big time for the Pilots tonight.

USF holds off Portland, 92-89. Turnovers buried the Pilots (15 to USF’s 7).
Onto Saturday.

This is actually June 17 and not about the WCC. San Diego State has filed paperwork to leave the Mountain West Conference. Departure will cost them $17M. They are not sure about leaving but if they do leave any further delay will cost them $34M. Their favorite destination is the PAC 12 for geographic reasons but the Big 12 has not been ruled out. Should be interesting to follow developments.
