Has LMU ever had a finalist for this award??? Given to the mid-major player of the year. "LMU's Cam Shelton has been named a finalist for the Lou Henson Award. This award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in division I college basketball and honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons."

Fantastic stuff. Great to see Cam getting the recognition he earned through his play this year.
You know who you don't see on that list? WCC "CO-Player of the Year" Timme.....

Logan Johnson of Saint Mary’s and Brad Podziemski of Santa Clara are also on the list of 30 nominees. No others are from the WCC (e.g., Timme).

Shows how slanted the WCC POY vote was. Cam should have won it IMHO - we’d have finished only ahead of Pepperdine and Portland In conference play without him.

Per the LMU site, Shelton is on the Lou Henson All America team! Congratulations Cam!
Santa Clara’s Brandin Podziemski and Saint Mary’s Logan Johnson are also on the 30 man team.

Cam Shelton worked out for the Lakers today. Obviously very unlikely to be drafted but it would be great to see him make a summer league squad and maybe get a two way contract somewhere in the league. link
