It's that time again. Saturday, Nov 3, 7:35pmCSUDH Basketball: www.gotoros.com/index.asp?path=mbballLast Season: 9-13 .409 W% Conference 12-15 .444 W% Total 3,000 fans showed up to DH's midnight madness to cheer on the upperclassmen laden Toros. At least superficially they do not seem like jokes. Div II in mind, I would still take these guys seriously. Women start hoops double header @ 5pm against Team Concept. Go lions!

Talk about a must-win game! Just imagine what a loss would do to our team morale? Mmm....mmm.....my head starts hurting, let's not go there.

Ask the Portland Pilots how it feels to lose to a D2 school. They just feel to a D2, Western Oregon, on the season opener. Lets hope we don't start out the season with a loss.
Go Lions.

Looks like they are going to stream the video, I hope it gives us the sound. Last season I was watching video in silence, frankly, that's worse than listening to the game on radio.

Unfortunately the silence may be back (judging by the streaming Volleyball video this season). I want to see you in them stands lmu but give us the low down if you tune in.

I think that tonight's game at least showed the potential in Diedrichs and Johnson. Johnson looks like he can be the heir apparent to Worthy. I think that the loss can be attributed to the combination of Rodney getting the freshman some experience, and CSUDH gunning for a win against a D-I team.
I would like to know why Jenkins didn't get any minutes. He injured or something?

Really liked what I saw from Diedrichs. Even though it is not cool we lost to a D2 school I think there were some bright spots among the murkiness pits. We made a lot of sloppy mistakes that can be chalked up to youth. Now let's see some improvement when we go into Irvine!

Diedrichs is the bright spot tonite. Very active and knows how to work in the pain. Kudos to Tim!
Ziri looks much more determined than last year and he is noticeably quicker than other players on the court.
Orlando...mmm, he did have a good game but somehow I don't feel it's enough. I know I haven't seen the best Orlando yet, so I will reserve my judgement. Not saying he is not good, just feel he can do more.
I am not going to read too much into tonight's game. Our players need experience to grow, this is still a team with a lot of upsides!
Go Lions!

I was not upset nor pissed losing to D2 DH. The are a deep an talented team and probably better than a few D1 teams we will play this season. I was more interested in see the new faces on the squad and what our future looks like. Orlando was as impressive as advertised. He is going to be on the WCC first team before long. I had been hearing some rumors of how well Tim has been playing and it certain was displayed last night. I love his grit and enthusiasm and inside game. I stated a few posts a go the he is going to be our best inside player and he certainly showed that to be true. I know it is only one game but I was very happy. Which leads me to this one trouble some issue. Our front court needs alot of work! Sutton, Deric and Craig were non existent except in the foul department. There post players really tore us up. Tim was the only bright spot. For our talent guards and wings to be very effective it would help if we could have some inside out work going. Both Sutton and Craig are young but I'm hoping the put in some hard work and gain some offensive moves. For the guards... I was over all happy aside from the large number of turn overs. Hats off to Cory and Shawn and JZ! Go Lions! box score: lmulions.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/110407aaa.html

There are some very good D2 teams out there that said a 15 point loss is a blow out.

Trackingups...Thanks for pointing that out.
Also good points about Wahlberg and him getting two commited recruits from within the conference. Vance is one lucky guy. I'm sure the rest of the WCC coaches and fans are very impressed by his recruiting savy. I hope your not offend by this post, I guess i'm just one of those people who " don’t know a damn thing about what is going on! ".
Go Lions.
