Ironlions I don't have a beef with you. I actually enjoy your posts. Just remember there are always two sides to every story and I am not talking about your posts.

Overall, there were some bright spots to last night's game. Tim impressed me. Tim has great focus and hustle. Orlando meet expectations. O.J. is the real deal. I would like him to be a bit more selfish. I think the guy can take on most in the WCC and look forward to four years of O.J. for game nights.
Our back court needs some development. Jiri in my eyes came out and played well enough for a starting role. Turner and Deadwiler were 2 for 12 from the floor. That will not get it done. We need a decent shooting threat from the outside to open the inside game. J.Z. gets my vote for a starting role.
I was a bit disappointed in Deric's play. Hopefully, he can turn it around or it may be a permanent bench role for him. I had higher hopes for him.
I realize that my comments are based on an exhibition game and we need to see "official game" play before jumping to conclusions. I am just providing thoughts from views from the stands.
I was impressed with the turnout for this exhibition game. Much better than last year's game versus Bakersfield. Kudos to the fans on this one. Hopefully opening night against Arkansas Little-Rock will be even better.

The turnout was good, but DH traveled well too to help bolster the #s. Still a good student showing, hope the loss won't hurt spirit for the season. It was not a good game by any stretch but I'm going to give the lions a few games to make any real judgments. Really dissapointed how many fouls we racked up. Sutton and Deric will really have to focus on that.

I don't expect too much this year as they are very young, but thanks.

Wow. Not upset after a 15 point loss to Div II CSUDH? You need to transfer to Notre Dame immediately.... I can get you great seats in the student section and an autographed game ball used in the Navy game. Hopefully when UCSB rolls in town in a few weeks you'll come by our section and we can teach you a few Gaucho songs. You can't miss us, we'll be burping and reek of beer. After a case or two we might even make a pass at one of your co'eds. Good luck the next few weeks! Keep drinking those red bull & prozac talls. We'll be spanking you by double digits, I gaurantee it!

I believe the last two times we played UCSB we have beaten them. Probably why stinky is so confident.

ironlions:
I have to agree with you on the front court. But the back court needs just as much work. Were the heck are we going to get points from the guards this year? Deadwiler and Turner were 2 for 12 during the exhibition. There are much more talented teams than DH that we are going to play. Players come out everyday. AKA...O.J. Inconsistent guard production may hamper the team this year.

Good comments....I'm going to wait until the UCI game to asses the back court. I don't think Turner showed his best stuff vs. DH
Go Lions.

I believe last season some Gaucho goons came on the board talking smack and after Worthy and the lions took care of business the nachos quickly ran out of town with their tails between their legs. ;D
