The Gauchos have an international roster with players from Serbia, Italy, Germany, South Sudan, Kenya, Belgium, France and Minnesota. In some cases, this talent seems a bit raw per their stats.
Gauchos lost to UTEP (89-76) while the Lions handled them easily (67-47). Among the Gauchos wins are several unimpressive opponents, e.g. Bethesda University. I’m thinking the Lions will be favored on this game at a neutral site.

I haven’t seen any of their games. How do they blow out WSU and beat Oregon but get blown out by Ohio State, Cal and New Mexico?

With all of their second chance points and us missing free throws it’s incredible we’re only down by five points. If we can just get our act together I like our chances

Ha worse, since GCU is the host of this event these are GCU announcers.  Clearly these two didn't do a lot of prep on either UCSB or us.  I think they have called us the "LMU Titans" twice now

While not very detailed, sounds like an apt description. Didn’t see the game but looked at the stats. Ten missed layups. This is getting habitual. Alex put up some good numbers. That’s about it. Sad, very sad. There’s more talent on this team than we’ve seen in a long time. What’s going on??

Let me explain,

We suck =

None of our bigs can grab a contested rebound, they can’t dunk or finish in traffic, they are too weak. They are “big” Only because they are tall. Also have hands like bricks. Complete waste of roster spots.

The only “big” on the team that actually uses his body and puts in the effort is Alex, who had a good game today.

All CSJ does is yell and throw up his hands in disgust if things don’t go his way. Terrible leadership style.

Our guards are all “combo” scoring guards and are all short. Nobody actually knows how to run a team

Does that clarify my position with everybody here on this godforsaken board?

Disappointing game
Gauchos got tons of offensive rebounds early and scored at will in the paint - an old story there
Our defense settled down a bit as the game progressed but our offense wasn’t clicking
Mostly playing one on one game on offense
We lack a true point guard to elevate team play
