I’ve not watched them this season so I don’t know much about except they’re ranked #16 and have beaten everyone they’ve played except the Gaels (who haven’t set the world on fire). At least we should have a size advantage on them. Can our bigs finally step up to the challenge (except Alex who has played like he wants to win).

Attended the game in Fort Collins last year and we were really never in it. They shut down Shelton and, as was the case with last year‘s team if that happened, we really had no chance.
Wright did well as the point guard the other night, but even Detroit Mercy was executing high traps on us and causing issues. We may really miss Hill in this game but hopefully our balanced attack will pay off.

This would be a good night to put it all together on the court. The outcome could be a real feather in our hat or a minor disaster (or worse). Let’s do it Lions.

If we could have hit the front end of our 1-and-1 free throws we really would be in the game.
For a while there it looked like Colorado State was going to run away with it, so eight points at halftime feels pretty good.

Lions could win this game Weakness is scoring inside despite our “size” advantage

Win or lose the most notable topic from this game is…. We are not a well coached team.
1) bad defensive rotations over and over again 2) bad offensive schemes over and over again 3) constant miscommunication on both O and D. No adjustments just yelling and frustration from CSJ 4) players like Issanza and wright turning it over because they were both fighting for the rebound with no csu players around all heart no smarts 5) players like issanza in year five of his career fouling and giving away cheap free throws because he can’t stay on his feet and always has to jump hunting for blocks rather than player good solid defense 6) CSJ thinks he can coach this team like a Marquette where talent can make up for a lack of teamwork and organization. That’s just not the case. 7) without Will Johnstons big game we getting blown out now. 8) we can’t shoot free throws . Absolute trash
Watching CSU made me realize how much more talented we are but how much better of a team they are. And it starts with coaching. They burned us all night on very basic back door cuts and screens

Where is Harris? He's our most talented player and he's no where to be found.

CSJ threw Harris in the corner tonight to rot away. No action to get him the ball, no scheme offensively. Great game by Johnston.

This team might be the most frustrating I've watched in years. While I wasn't expecting us to win, we never looked like we were truly in this. CSU never looked that uncomfortable. To NBDs point, without WJ going on his shooting tear we would have lost by 20.

Haven't been able to watch much this year (personal stuff) but sure looks like there's very little balance in the roster. Hard to picture where we'd be without Johnston.
