Since our WCC opening loss (57-68) Jan 4, the Broncos have compiled a17-10 record, 8-4 in conference. The Broncos are led by guards Adam Bal and Carlos Marshall Jr. The Broncos are a good team despite a loss to USD. If we get some players back off the injury list, it could be a competitive game.
Gametime: Thursday, Feb 22, 8 pm at Santa Clara. Video: CBS Sports

Would be nice to steal a W tonight and end the 6 game losing streak. The last 3 games of the schedule are all games we can win (Pacific, USD, & Portland). If we can ride a 4 game win streak plus get Dom and Keli back healthy then maybe we can make a little run during WCC tourney.

KXLU is having audio issues so listening to the Santa Clara stream. Their announcers are saying that we are outhustling the Broncos.
They said the Broncos like to run and usually outrebound their opponents and we are shutting down both of those aspects.
Up four at halftime, let’s keep it going! Great job so far.

Tale of 2 halves.
Can’t see us winning another game this season (and I’m an eternal optimist).

We just don’t have any gas left in the tank.
The Santa Clara announcers were saying that Harris is hopeful to be back for Vegas. They didn’t give a timeline for Keli.
Clearly we’re missing depth, but our last three games are very winnable, so hopefully we can get a second wind.

The really frustrating part about Keli’s injury is that it happened in the final couple minutes of our blowout loss at Gonzaga. If that was his final game as a Lion that would be a shame.

We’re just worn down to the point where we can’t string together 2 good halves in a game (especially being this short handed). All eyes on CSJ this summer - likely gets one more year to turn things around. Student apathy to the program has set right back in and with donations dropping, he needs to get this right.

I was going to mention this after the season, but the scary part for me is that we have very few players coming back next year. So many seniors and fifth year players graduating. Next year will have to be a complete transformation.
Just Harris, Johnston, Lewis and McBride, correct? And Ristic.
I still want to focus on this season. If Dom is back for Vegas, and if we can hold onto seventh place, we can definitely beat San Diego or Pepperdine and make some noise in Vegas.

Is Taitz hurt?
Is he red shirting again?
I thought he would get some playing time with us being shorthanded but he only played a few minutes this year and yet I can't find anything saying he's hurt.
He's been in several twitter feeds but no court time.

This is actually an exciting part for me....the new portal recruiting game can net you instant success nowadays, provided you get the right guys. With open spots for prime playing time I think coach and the staff can clearly improve from this season. Until the NCAA figures out how to stem the relentless tide of players transferring and having no loyalty, Stan can use it to his advantage. And someone mentioned donations being down. Might be true in the traditional donation sense towards the official program....but the big deal is how much NIL money is Stan going to net from donors to pay Harris and new transfers.
