LMU is scheduled to play in the Cancun Challenge Thanksgiving week. LMU hosts North Dakota 11/22 part of the home portion, then gets 2 games in Cancun. In years past there are two divisions (4 teams per division) one that plays on CBS Sports and one on Flo Hoops. I’m hoping since we are playing North Dakota at home this means we are on the CBS Sports bracket.

The higher bracket has had some good teams in the past. I can’t find this year’s field.

The higher bracket has had some good teams in the past. I can’t find this year’s field. Wyoming will also be playing in the Cancun Challenge. If Wyoming is following a similar format to LMU then a possible 4th team could be Southeastern Louisiana.

Conference Schedule is out. Getting Gonzaga at home to end a 3 game week... ok bring it on! New non-conference dates: Prairie View A&M coming to Gersten on 12/14 Nevada (12/7 - home) & Colorado St (12/4 - road) now has a dates set UTEP on the road date TBD Dickie V putting us #3 on his list of “Mid Major Don't Sleep List” Interesting the other 4 schools have coaches in the graphic but ours has the 3 new players MJ, Porter and Martin. x.com/DickieV/status/1821272561415811401

North Alabama at Gersten on 12/22 I believe with the 18 game conference schedule that brings us to 29 games and that is your 24-25 schedule:
11/5 Life Pacific 11/16 @ St. Louis 11/22 North Dakota 11/26-11/27 Cancun Challenge : Belmont & Wyoming or Tulane 12/4 @ Colorado St 12/7 Nevada 12/14 Prairie View A&M 12/20 Southern 12/22 North Alabama @ UTEP date TBD

How do you spell “ugh?” Coach Stan has some real ground to make up and if this OOC schedule is what he considers competitive for this year’s team, he’s not going to get there. And how does he expect to get fans in the stands with a slate of OOC opponents that most people have never heard of?

I am okay with the softer schedule this year for a couple reasons:
1. We do have a stronger league 2. We essentially have a brand new team that will take time to gel (assuming we do at some point, unlike last year...) 3. At least one person thinks we have enough talent on this team to possibly make it into the Tourney, this schedule gives us a couple opportunities for resume wins (Colorado St, St. Louis, Wyoming, possibly Tulane or Wyoming) while hopefully setting us up for a 20+ win season.
If Stan doesn't get it done this year we might be looking at Romar as our next coach or cleaning house once again.

At least on paper, we got the players (as Max once said) and should dominate weaker teams. I'm excited, weak preseason schedule or not. Let's do it on the court. I really expect a Big Dance season.
