Quentin Rhymes, 6’7” 195lbs from Hillcrest Prep out of Phoenix, AZ. Holds offers from Nebraska, TCU, Wichita State and Wisconsin-Green Bay (one of Doug Gottlieb’s first offers).

It's nice to see us casting a wide net for some quality high school players. In other news, former Lion James Batemon's brother Jamarion is a top 100 player in his class. The 4-star recruit will be committing to one of the following on monday: Clemson, Iowa State, Marquette, or West Virginia. Too bad we aren't in the mix.

James Batemon was a shining light for the Lions. He almost single-handedly won multiple games for us during his senior year. I really admired his play.

Article about Quentin’s visit. scoopmantv.com/2024/07/02/2025-guard-quentin-rhymes-discusses-lmu-visit/ Shouldn’t be under a paywall but his quotes are below: “I loved the visit,” he said. “They have an amazing coaching staff and I really love how they believe in me.” While Rhymes got to see the usual aspects of the campus, it was the atmosphere and overall vibe that left a lasting impression. “How comfortable my family was with all the coaching staff,” he said about what stook out the most. “Also, I really believe in their program due to the coaches being so hands on. I love the atmosphere.” He hopes to make a decision by October.

Really going after these AZ kids. 4 Star - Kingston Tosi, Forward 6’7” 195lbs out of Millennium HS in Goodyear, AZ listed his final 3: Utah St, Fresno St, LMU. Also held offers from Washington, Wash St, and SMU. Millennium HS is a top 10/15 HS national program (currently pre-season 10 by MaxPreps). Tosi is currently top 10 in Arizona and top 150 Nationally by 247sports (162 by On3).
The scouting report from 247sports: Tosi is a versatile and efficient player evolving from a forward into more of a true wing. He has good positional size, is a vertical athlete, and while he is still filling out his frame, he is not averse to contact. He runs the floor diligently in transition and can get loose for some big finishes. Tosi also really knows how to play within the offensive structure of the half-court. He's a good screener and knows how to slip and roll to the basket. While Tosi isn't a dynamic creator, and could stand to keep developing his handle, where he's effective off the bounce is if he can attack in straight lanes and get close enough to the paint to utilize multiple pivots and step-throughs to score. He shot 40% from behind the arc during UAA play, but did so in very low volume (averaging roughly one made three every two games). He has a slower release that comes up from below his chest. Tosi rated well defensively and is competitive enough that he should eventually be a plus-defender but he still has a lot of moments where he's flat-footed on the perimeter or late on close-outs. Overall, Tosi is a player who impacts winning and is clearly still ascending.
The scouting report from Arizona Preps: Tosi is an excellent prospect for the right college program, as he is a very skilled performer with excellent versatility as a player - able to play inside and out. He can score at all (3) levels, and uses his ability to score off the dribble and in the lane. He is a very good shooter of the basketball with range, and can get his defender off balance and make mid-range shots or finish strong in the lane over defenders. He has excellent length of body, which suggests that he is still growing a great deal, so he still has very good upside. An active rebounder that rebounds outside of his area, and he is an active defender that plays passing lanes. His best years are well ahead of him. College coaches should begin recruiting Tosi now, as he is still a very good sleeper prospect in the West.
