See below for Kenpom/Bart preseason WCC Rankings:
Gonzaga (9/8) Saint Mary's (34/40) USF (85/84) Santa Clara (95/100) Wash St. (111/86) LMU (131/144) Oregon St. (144/140) Pepperdine (232/240) Portland (274/272) Pacific (287/323) San Diego (295/295)
This is inline with what I expected. Gonzaga is in their own tier, Saint Mary's is a clear second, then I think there is a middle 5 and bottom 4. Whoever breaks out from the middle 5 will certainly be an NIT bid with an outside shot at the tourney. I think our roster has the talent to do it if Amey can be "that guy" for us. If Porter and Merkviladze can make minor improvements from last season we will have maybe the offensive front court in the WCC as well. For me, Jan Vide is the wildcard, people who think we are a potential tourney team see him as an all-conference player. Both of these ranking systems project him to be an average bench player. Either way, can't wait for the season to start.

It’s that time of year where “secret” scrimmages get leaked. LMU beat Long Beach 76-54. Course they mean nothing but a fake win is still a win I suppose.
WCC coaches poll came out earlier in the week: LMU picked #6; 2 points behind #5 Wash St. Porter with the Pre-season All WCC Team selection.

If I'm reading the chart correctly, Fresno State has a Kenpom rating of 274 - for what its worth. kenpom.com/index.php?s=RankAdjOEI guess there is lots of exploring with players/lineups during a scrimmage.

Seeing 90+ points allowed raised my eyebrows. I don’t care which guys were playing, that’s a lot of points to give up. I hope the Romar coaching “prowess” isn’t leaking in!
