Big man Orme was named MVC Freshman of the Week on Nov 18.
The team has decent size and well rounded scoring. Except for Orme, they are a veteran team.
Belmont has been a postseason fixture for the last two decades, including nine berths to the NCAA tournament (what’s that?). The Bruins have 20 conference championships since 2006, third nationally behind Gonzaga and Kansas. Belmont has won 20 or more games in 14 consecutive seasons (along with Gonzaga, Kansas and Oregon). Belmont had two first round selections in the NBA draft over the last five seasons,
MVC teams traditionally play good "team" basketball.
In short, the Lions will have their hands full next Tuesday in Cancun.

Guys, I am happy that the Lions are winning as I am a fan. But this team is still playing herky jerky, playing black hole offense, and Being sloppy on defense.

We are longer, stronger , and more talented than Belmont. What happens when we match up against a team of similar size and skill?
