Huge two games for the women. We are #3 in the WCC and play #1 on Thursday and #2 Portland on Saturday. Gut check time. Let's get out the and support the women. We need the team that beat Gtown to show up...not the team that lost to USF. I'm sure the players are pumped up.

A tough loss for the women vs. the Zags last nigth. I only got to watch the first half and we were destroying them. I still worried because I saw how many talent post players they had. Our post players just aren't too good this year. I hope the coaching staff is recruiting a big.
Let' regroup and beat the Pilot!
Go Lions.

Can someone explain what happened with the Karros player? I don't follow the women's team closely but know there were expectations from her. Why did she leave the team? Where is she going (not so important)? Thanks

I guess she wasn't happy with PT. Not a big loss for us.

Women fall to USF. That's really unacceptable Coach.

WOW! We should have been no lower then 2nd place in WCC this year with a real shot at a 1st place finish. Now we are fighting for to make the top half? I am speechless - and you said it iron - totally unacceptable!

Things are looking really bad for us. When was the last time we even made it to the WCC final round. Coach cannot get us to perform late in the season and this year it starts especially early. Hoping for a Vegas turnaround because that is where it will really matter.

We made it to the Finals and won in 2004. No that long ago. They are a young team without a lot of leadership.

To me that seems like awhile ago if we want to be considered one of the top women's team in the conference. Unless things improve we could be looking at 2010 for out next chance. The team is young but we reloaded pretty well. Hopefully things come together soon.

We also made it to the WCC finals in 2007. AND, let's not forget that there should be an "*" put on 2005 with the whole team suffering from food poisoning during the tournament.
If anything, they seem to play down to their opponents. We beat USD twice, barely lose to Gonzaga, yet get beat by USF twice.

If we don't have a stellar season next year we should look for a new coach.

Lost again to Saint Mary's tonight. 4 in a row. We are lucky to get a bye in the first round in Vegas.
Coach better get their heads right for next week. They gotta shake off whatever it is that got to them!
Unacceptable doesn't even start to describe it.

I'm just surprised that they can't seem to recruit better players. I don't see why they would need a new coach...perhaps the coach needs a new staff because before they began changing up the asst coaches, they were doing really well.
Then again, no one can be Kate Murray or Rae Rae Self or Amanda Patton or Adrienne Slaughter....

Personally I feel that the level of talent is fine. It is Coach Wilhoit. She is too much of a control freak. The players are so structured and so robot-like, they never come close to reaching their potential.
Wilhoit has been around for 15 or so years, LMU knows what they are going to get from her, 17 or so wins. The program is just spinning their wheels.
They could be great but have settled to be good year in and year out.
