Rodney Tention has been offered jobs by both Johnny Dawkins at Stanford and Kerry Keating at Santa Clara. He has chosen to be Dawkins' #1 assistant in Palo Alto and return to the Pac-10.

I had heard this rumor on the Dons board earlier. I'm really happy for Coach Tention and his family. I wish him the very best!

Wish Stanford well with thier choice! I wonder if LMU had a clause in RT's separation papers that if he found a job, we only have to pay him the differential between the salary he would be losing out on and the new salary. Or is it all sunk costs for LMU?

With that news of Dick Davey joining Stanford's staff, Rodney is 2nd Assistant in a Pac-10 program. Seems to me that this would be a slap in the face for RT given his experience at AZ with Lute. RT definitely has a long road ahead of him to ever gain a head coaching gig in DI. |
