EDIT:
I saw that, later. It makes more sense. I suppose I should have fact-checked, but, then again, I'm not the one collecting a paycheck from the Daily News. That guy has written about LMU twice recently, so I guess he just had them on his brain. It would be nice if LMU could eventually have the highest RPI of all the other Loyolas. The Greyhounds used to be absolutely terrible and now they are actually respectable. I hope the Lions can do the same.
Here was my original (incorrect) post:

Preseason NIT takes shape
The Preseason NIT field has been announced.
St. John’s will play Cornell and Boston College will play Loyola-Marymount in the East Regional at BC. Purdue will play Eastern Michigan and Georgia will play Loyola of Chicago in the Midwest Regional at Purdue. Oklahoma will play Mississippi Valley State and James Madison will play Davidson in the South Regional at Oklahoma while Arizona will play Florida Atlantic and UAB will play Santa Clara in the West Regional at Arizona.
All first-round games will be held Nov. 17 with regional finals scheduled for the following night.
Winners will advance to the Garden for semifinals and finals Nov. 26 and 28.
The remaining 12 teams will play third- and fourth-round games at sites of three highest remaining seeds.
Purdue and Oklahoma should both be nationally ranked in the preseason. Davidson features Stephen Curry.
