I ran into Vernon Teel yesterday on campus and he had his right arm in a sling... any news on what this could be? Ironlions, could you possibly give us an update on if he is seriously injured or if you have heard anything. Thanks.
P.S. Ashley Hamilton is a big strong man.
Finally, those new uniforms look awesome.

Its pretty hard to get info about injuries. Maybe someone on campus could ask him. I'm sure its not too bad.

Vernon's status on facebook says hes getting surgery . . .

He told me he has a broken thumb. he said he's going to be out for a few weeks but it's gonna be 100% before the season starts.

Thank goodness! After reading the last post from yesterday, I was worried all day about Teel's status.
I assume Teel is right-handed, so this would be on his shooting hand? As long as he has time to heal...I have a feeling he should be our leading scorer this year.

Ya he should be back in shape before season starts and good to go. Im glad its nothing worse.
I have a feeling that Ashley Hamiliton is going to be our leading scorer this year. I've seen him play some pick up at Burns and he looks outstanding.

Ash is big and strong, but what really impresses me about him was his quickness. I'm not quite sure he will lead us in scoring but its very possible.
