I was initially against the Bayno hire having known him and his history at UNLV.
Reflecting on it now, and having a similar battle as Coach Bayno with alcohol, I am grateful that he was given a second chance.
I was wrong about a lot of things and am pleasantly surprised by the job Bill and his staff have done. I will gladly eat some crow if that means future success for the team and university and will be one of the first to shake his hand and say "job well done coach".
No doubt we will have some ups and downs this year, but the future looks very bright for the program.
Here's to the team representing the university proudly and Coach Bayno proving other naysayers like me wrong.
