great effort tonight by the guys.... they played well considering the hand they have been dealt. impressive effort.

Great effort by the Lions and Coach Good tonight (Coach Bayno, if you are reading this, please realize that you brought this "tough-mentality" environment to LMU...wins aren't necessary this year, we just want you back and healthy).
Here is a quote from UALR's head coach, via their website story:
“I’ve got to give a lot of credit to Max (Good) and his team. They were the tougher team and the hungrier team, and I think that showed for 40 minutes tonight,” said UALR head coach Steve Shields. “I told our guys that we were going to face a wounded dog that was going to come at us. Give them credit, they had some toughness, they made some shots and they executed, but our defense was pathetic.”

Im proud of our guys too. With 7 scholarship players that was quite a fight. I think Coach Good is doing a great job getting our guys ready for each game so far. We are getting some good experience. Its just going to be succch a long wait till next year's excitement, but I am still hoping we can pull off some upsets this year.
