Since Westhead left LMU, LMU went took these directions in hiring a head coach:
Hire the topic assistant of the former head coach. It's working great at Pitt, with Jamie Dixon. But didn't work with Hillock.
Then hire the top assistant from a top program. Didn't work out with Olive.
Then LMU hired Charles Bradley. Of course it can be looked as a PC hire. But Bradley was the head coach at Metro St before LMU. So they took the hire a successful D-2 coach. Though Bradley was only 37-43 in three years at Metro.
Then LMU hires a D-1 head coach from a smaller school/conference. Aggers didn't work out.
Then LMU goes back to the assistant coach from a top program in Rodney Tention. That was a bad choice.
Then LMU took the Give a Coach Another Chance route with Bayno. That has been a diaster.
Then, instead of doing a full search, they promote the top assistant.
