Before I run off to the bar to watch the game and have my LMU shots, I have to cry out:
Why is St. Mary's in red jerseys?!?! I'm so confused.

Beat the thirty point spread haha. Sounds like we played alot better in the second half. Freshman scored 80! percent of our points tonight.

Another loss but great game by the freshman. Not the biggest blow out of the night. Santa clara is losing to the zags by 44.

Why do the referees hate us so much?!
I wasn't paying super close attention to the game because I was in good company, but I noticed one instance where we were double teamed under the basket late in the second half, and the foul was so blatantly obvious, yet no one called it.
This has been a battle for so long.
I remember another chant...."Play in spite of the refs, not because of the refs."

Crazy - I can't tell you why the ref's hate us so much, but I found the answer to your earlier question about the red jersey for SM.
This is from the SM website:
"The Gaels, who improved to 7-0 at home, sported red uniforms for the first time since the 2006-07 season. That season, they went 0-5 in that color on the road.
"We asked to wear them. They're cursed,'' Hughes said before the game. "We had to break the curse.''"
We have become a curse buster. That's nice of us.

Another embarassment. Three freshman and Sweezy gave a nice effort.

LOL. A 25 point loss and 1-17 season...seriously, can we get past the referees? They are so a non-factor under these circumstances.

The refs have been an issue for many many many many years. They haven't changed; in fact, their inability to make obvious calls is getting worse. It's pretty bad when the commentators are making note of the obvious lack of calls.
Given, yes - we obviously have many other issues going on right now. But that factor just makes it more frustrating - especially, when I recognize the refs and they don't change.
