So, I am leaving tomorrow for Vegas. I think we should get a Lion's Den get together somewhere. I know that Lion fans are meeting at TGI Fridays in the Orleans before the game for some drinks and snacks. THE ROAR will be on the strip tearing it up like its 1996, I hope to see some of you guys in the next few days.

We have group of LMU almuns pre-gaming at Carnaval Court on the strip next to Harrah's. I'll keep an eye out for Roar on Friday. Go Lions.

Hopefully there will be some people in Vegas to cheer on the lions. I am leaving friday morning after my class, so Ill be there around 4... cant wait!! I really think the Lions can take down USD, especially if the Lion's freshman do not crack under the big stage of the WCC tournament. USD has the experience factor on their side, but LMU has the talent to compete.

A few suggestions for you:

McFadden's- Irish pub right across the street from the Orleans, in case you want to get away from the casinos. Good beer selection, local hangout.

Firefly- my favorite restaurant in Vegas, outstanding spanish Tapas, on Paradise east of the Strip.

Crown and Anchor- on Tropicana mile east of Strip or smaller pub on West Spring Mountain in Chinatown, British pub with great draft beer selection.

YardHouse- south of the Strip and Mandalay Bay in Town Center

In the Orleans-
the aforementioned TGIF's.

Terrible Mike's- quick hamburger joint.

Orleans sportsbook bar at night- say hi to the lovely Catalina for me

Mexican restaurant- name escapes me

Oyster Raw Bar

plenty of overpriced places on the Strip as well. The corporations have done a fine job ruining the town.

Quick question for the Lion fans who made the trip to Vegas. Did the NCAA make up any rules about betting on Tournament games in "The Orleans Sports Book"? I know you can bet on the games at all the other hotels.
