Sweezy busts his tail on the floor. He really needs to work on this jumper and free throws and he could get some more minutes.

Its not about Brad scoring or being an offensive force. For the sheer fact that he probably outworks every single person on the LMU's team in practice, keep him on the team. A guy like Sweezy can only help a bunch of more talented players who will get the PT.

Dennis Rodman. Offensive liability, 5 NBA championship rings.

I'd say he's more of a John Haywood/Dustin Brown hybrid.

Haywood and Brown both had some offensive abilities and neither hustled and played defense with the intensity Sweezy does. And, most importantly, as Zags referenced I suspect neither practiced as hard as Sweezy. I'm willing to state that a material part of the credit for the developing quality of play we see next year from Garribay, Diederichs and Osborne will be directly attributable to Sweezy making them work their collective butts off in every practice.

I remember Haywood playing his final home game against Gonzaga - which we won. He played so-so all year, probably worked hard as reported, but, although I did not see all our games that year, Haywood did not weem to be a game changer until then. He was not to be denied that night, hustling for impossible rebounds and putting the ball in the basket like never before - inside and outside (from close). What a great night for Haywood. Maybe by his Senior year, Sweezy will be playing like that every game! He certainly has the desire and work ethic - plus his dad and (much) young brother in the stands at home games.

We didn't win that game--Worthy got concussed and ammo went apesh*t. Maybe you remember Haywood posterizing Batista and ammo during the WCC championship?
Looking back, that dunk was the zenith of LMU basketball for the past 15 years; 14 up in a conference championship.

Maybe I'm mixing some games up but it was a big home game and we won. Seemed like it was late season. It's just that Haywood played way above his usual game that evening.
