Word from the Griz board Brian Qvale, their second leading scorer and leading rebounder will not make the trip to LA. I'm unsure if he is ill or his father is, due to two differnet reports- I hope they are okay and have a speedy recovery. The key to getting a win is stopping their big strong guard Anthony Johnson who is average 18ppg. We had Edgar and Larry in our first game against them and now we don't. The Lions have to step up and play great D to get this win. Go Lions

Brian Qvale being out for Montana is a big blow for the Grizz. Note that in the first game, the 6'11" center scored 16 points against the Lions with 2 blocks in 22 minutes of play. The 7 footer that will take his place tonight played 19 minutes in that game and scored zero points with zero blocks.

I see where you're going with that Ironlion and you're right for the most part. That said, LMU has had a few games to adjust and AO has shown ability to fill some of the gap for Edgar. This will be Montana's first game witout Qvale. Selvig has averaged 3 points per game in average of 14 minutes of play.

We need to buckle down and play D and remember that even if Qvale isn't in the game they are a good team. I'm expecting Ashley and AO to continue to play well at the 5. Teel will need to step up big time to guard Johnson.

Iron. I only hope they can play D. After the Academy Game and that debacle I was hoping to see more in Wyoming. Still way to many people thinking about their offensive stats and not Defense. If we could just start setting some man size screens up high that will free up JD,Vernon, and "Just shoot the damn ball" Viney! (That for you Irish) I just want to see AO, Ashley, Tim and Sweezy to go into a game thinking, I'm gunna put a guard on their ASS.Hope u boys are reading this. Set that damn screen and let them bounce off you.

The stats clearly show that Teel is better on offense than JD. Teel does have 6 or so more turnovers than JD but also 30 or so more assists. He also scores more on much higher FG%. I do think that JD is the better all-around defensive player. If so, shouldn't JD guard the other team's most dangerous guard, in this case Johnson? While everyone needs to step up the D, JD should look to be our lock-down defensive presence on the perimeter. Just my thoughts.

Diedricks is horrible. He cannot play. No rebounds. His man is the leading scorer. Keep him on the bench.

My goodness. I sit down and listen to the beginning of the second half. We give up three 3s and 13 points in the first three minutes of the half. Disgusting.

Kalipinde seems to be grabbing or battling every rebound. He's literally around every loose ball!
