ok....I told myself I would wait 12 full hours. Counting to 10 all night still hasn't calmed me down. Timmy D I think is taking a little to much heat on this one. He only had 5 min to get in the groove. He was pushing that 7 footer around for his five min. He never gets time to get in the groove. 20 seconds into the game the big gets a foul. Why not work the ball inside or have VT drive the lane for a possible foul ...or a turnover (turnover more likely) That 7ft could have been on the bench 2 min into the game. AO, Given congrats...you earned a shot to start at the Golden Domers. VT and KY, I think its time to come off the bench. Given, JD, Viney, TD and AO. Let TD and AO push some folks around at the start. Viney had a good night but just couldnt get the ball or was wearing Montana payers all night. VT snapped at Max last night. I cant stand to see what appeared to be disrespect for the coach on the floor. If I am wrong I will apologize but at one point it looked like disrespect to me. Again we see Sweezy, Laron, Given on the pine in spots where you can give a few folks a quick breath. I just want to see the heart. the fans at the end of the first half didnt let the team down, the team came out flat and didnt finish. Sorry...forgot my coffee this AM and am bitter.

Guys, last night was embarrassing, disgusting, repulsive... Has anyone seen marked improvement as a "TEAM" through the year? Yes, there have been individual improvements such as AO and Given, but I think we can all agree that there is not much team unity on the court - this a coaching problem.
First, we stayed in man to man the WHOLE game, why can't we mix it up with some zone? I know our players are smart enough for it! Montana constantly ran screens to free up shooters, and they made WAY too many threes. This has been a SEASON-LONG problem that our coaches have still not corrected.
Second, does anyone else realize that we ALWAYS blow halftime leads? It's not a coincidence, it's because other coaches (i.e. UCI and Montanta) make ADJUSTMENTS at half! We on the other hand sit on our lead and get blasted in the opening minutes of the second half. We get ourselves into a hole that we cannot get ourselves out of. Make halftime adjustments Max.
Third, we were exponentially more talented on the court. I bet that Montana doesn't have ONE guy who was rated with two or more stars in HS. We have Drew (4 stars) and a few 3 star athletes. Bottom line, we have better players, more athletic players, a decent home crowd and we still lose the way we did? Coaching, coaching, coaching...
Fourth, late in the game who do you think Montana wants to get the ball? ANTHONY JOHNSON. But we don't deny him the ball and are forced to foul their best FT shooter. We were denying him the ball (via JD) earlier in the game and he wasn't scoring. Go figure, it's harder to score when we make it hard for you to get the ball. DUH.
I have so many more complaints about last night but I don't want to bore you all too much. As you're probably as frustrated with last nights game as I was (and still am).
Ask yourselves this... Is our coaching staff putting our players in a position to win? I think you already know my answer.
