where in jones history has he proven that he is a head coach other than your mind? calling dunlap arrogant because he 'turned down us down the first time, at a time when we needed him more than he needed us' is a pitiful statement. anyone, in any career, takes a job with their Family a Higher Priority than the company/institution needs at the time of any job offer. dunlap accepted the job when he did because his 3 children were more settled in their educational stages than earlier times. dunlap had offers to go back to the nba during the year he chose not to coach. dunlap had offers to return to college basketball during the year he chose not to coach. again, you infer that he was a desperate person when he finally accepted the job from husak. pure b.s.. in campaigning for jones, you stated that 'his heart would be in it.' a clear shot that dunlap's heart is not into it. I suspect that dunlap has poured more energy into lmu as a student-athlete, assistant and head basketball coach than you ever have from your top row seat. as to your reference in the above box of lmuseniorfan, the only point he omitted was that bradley came from metro state and that is where dunlap ended up. your hateful bias continues to spew crap.

same poster breaks down quality of wins by this season's team then states that bradley won at metro just like dunlap with no differential as to dunlap winning 2 nation championships and a runner up in division ll. yet the record shows that bradley was 6-21, 17-9 and 13-13 in his 3 years there, while dunlap was 25-5, 28-6, 33-4, 23-7, 29-6, 28-5, 32-3, 29-4 and 21-10 in his 9 seasons there. as to bradley being hired by the school president of lmu than the a.d., it was for the same reason that cal poly hired their coach today.

dunlap is most certainly not my idol. there are a few posters that have maligned him on this board from the get go. they are the ones that spew reckless crap, attacking his character as well as inventing conversations that involve him that never happened. certainly, dunlap has made coaching/personnel moves that deserve to be questioned and have been. supporting the team while questioning coaching moves aren't mutually exclusive. meanwhile, our team is playing a tough road opponent on thursday. the winner likely to play west virginia and huggy bear in a 2 out of 3 set. almost heaven.

We won't be meeting Huggy Bear, he lost to Coastal Carolina. Too bad, could have been easy pickins. We are to be stuck with teams having winning records.

Thursday's game will be tough enough vs USF on their home court. Hopefully, Herman will get decent minutes this week. The twin towers lineup with Herman and Markusson on the floor together gave Brown fits. Good luck to Dunlap and the Lions! I wouldn't mind another game at Gersten this season.
