USF is the real deal. They barely lost to a really good buffalo team. They are definitely a strong #2 team in the WCC.

USF is the real deal. They barely lost to a really good buffalo team. They are definitely a strong #2 team in the WCC. They are a good team but not better than our Lions. We have a more impressive resume up to this point. USF haven’t beaten any high major programs or any quality teams in general. By the looks of the WCC out of conference performances, it’s hard not to expect our boys to finish 2nd in WCC

I missed this one earlier The NCAA’s second worst team CSUN beat Pepperdine last Monday 90-83 to improve their record to 2-5. The worst team in college basketball (LMU) with only low level D1 players had prevailed over CSUN by 15 points earlier this season. Will wonders never cease?

Big day for the WCC, although our win wasn’t pretty we won by double digits as an underdog... USD beat San Diego State, BYU beat a good Utah St team, and USF is murdering CAL. Overall good day for the conference, now the Zags just need to avoid the upset.

Gonzaga lost a heart breaker to a tough Tennessee team at a neutral site (Phoenix). The game could have gone either way and was tied with under 2 minutes to play but the Vols made two crucial 3-pointers (one banked in!) and the Zags couldn't quite match them late. The Vols had athletic, strong players which matched up well with the Zags.
Gonzaga is still for real.

USF seems to be winning by large margins - like 20+ quite often. Good for USF.

USF got 5 “points” in the AP poll; UCLA got 3. The leader Kansas got 1583.

In Joe Lunardis latest bracket, USF is an 11 seed... Big games coming up as well with USD playing Oregon today, Gonzaga playing UNC, and Saint MArys playing LSU. If the WCC wins all three of those games then we could very well get back into the conversation of being a 2-3 bid league.

That would be great of the WCC gets more than one bid. I'd love to see the Lions in the Big Dance or at a minimum the NIT.

If enough teams get national respect before conference play, then the WCC could very well be looking at 2 teams in the tourney and 3ish teams in the NIT. If LMU, USF, and USD all go into conference play with 2 or fewer losses, and then can go 9-7 or 10-6 in conference play, with those 6 or 7 losses being to Gonzaga, BYU, Saint Marys, or each other, then this could very well happen.

#4 Gonzaga (9-1) faces #12 North Carolina (7-2) on the road Saturday. ESPN has UNC as 71% chance to win. BYU faces UNLV.

UNC really beat up the Zags today, hope it doesn’t hurt their ratings too badly On the other hand, UNLV beat BYU in OT The young Haws is still pouting

Zags, Cougars and Gaels all went down tonight. Not good for the league. Those name programs need to beat the name competition (North Carolina, UNLV and LSU) for the conference to get “street cred.”

Santa Clara best USC in double overtime. Question is how the Broncos got a 17 point lead in the second half and then blew it to force OT? Good win anyway even over a weaker PAC-12 team.
