Pepperdine Waves
Yes friends, our rival game is here again so soon. In the meantime, the Waves are on the up ramp while the Lions seem to be going in the opposite direction.
I'd like to be wrong.
Gametime: Saturday, Jan 19, 1 pm in Gersten. VIdeo: Spectrum Sportsnet

The very rare game that I'll actually be able to attend. Who else will be in the house?

Lions seem to have the Waves number. I predict a W. Batemon is going to break out because I do not think Pepperdine's guards are physical enough to keep him out of the paint and I like how Eli matches up with their frontcourt. Big games from both I predict.
However, after the imminent Spokane Smackdown Thursday dare I say "must win"? Another loss to Pepperdine could send this thing spiraling in the wrong direction fast with 3 of 4 losses in Conference, half of those to our rival, and a tough roadie at USD. Big week for the Lions. I will say though that those pining for Dunlap's demise, the schedule looks like a very possible sleepwalk to 19-20 wins, and you will not get your wishes with a 20 win season. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

For the sake of the morale on this board, the lions need to win.

Big win. A game we should win at home. Great second half by Douglas! 4th or 5th is wcc is a realistic finish. Next game will be big!

Great atmosphere and great win. Playing rotation has really tightened up. Wins like that are the type that are great for the program. Quintana really played well, as did Eli, Douglas and Markusson....Coaching aside, morale aside, personalities aside, that was a really good win against our rival and trust me powers that be sat there and watched that crowd and what appeared to be lots of enthusiasm from a pretty young talented core group of players returning next season. All of a sudden the tragedy of losing Cam Allen, or the argument of LMU being a one trick pony, is less valid, if it ever was. Good job and the team should enjoy the victory.
