Interesting - perhaps a year in prep school to work on academics. Is it confirmed that Williams is “Signed” ?

cool to see Shamar come back as an assistant graduate coach, also want to see the weight of the new players to see how much size we have down low. Matthias is on the roster, but if he isnt active then we really are stuck going small (at least in terms of height).

Shamar might teach the inside guys some toughness.

Tough to tell much from this video, which is also over a year old... Just based on this it looks like the speed of the game is pretty slow, also seems to do a decent amount of work in the post. He doesn't seem to get a lot of lift, and this video doesn't really show any creative finishes so I doubt he will be scoring in the paint at the D1 level. Definitely not a mixtape player (AKA not a great athlete), but doesn't mean he can't shoot, dribble, pass, run an offense, and be a successful player in the WCC. Also a lefty. Didn't seem to have any other offers which is a little concerning, but again, can only tell so much from a 3 minute video. Hopefully he will be a good addition to the team and a solid PG for us for the next 4 years.

Welcome aboard. The last lefty LMU point guard I can think of was Damian Martin, who also was not a mix tape player but obviously was a fantastic fit.
On a side note, does this mean Williams is not coming until next year?

There are 14 scholarship players on the roster, which is one too many. At the risk of sounding somewhat ghoulish, I hope Dunlap is sure that Mattias is not planning to play this year.

Can't have too many PGs! lmu2015 - I read your comments before I watched the tape and was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. The quality of basketball is Spain is pretty good so he should be well prepared. From his shooting, he could handle SG as well. I am uncertain about the scholarship situation - I thought we had all scholarships allocated before we signed Sisoho? Can anyone help?
