The successful 07-08 season saw the lions continue their winning ways, .500 record or better for 13 consecutive months and better than .500 at home for the past 8 seasons.

Alex Cowling, 5-11 Guard/Forward, Benicia, CA
The 24th-ranked guard and 73rd-ranked overall player in the country by Hoopgurlz/Scout.com, Cowling racked up the Player of the Year honors in 2007, earning no less than four such awards: Sports Focus NCS Player of the Year, Bay Shore Athletic League MVP, San Francisco Chronicle East Bay Player of the Year, and Contra Costa Times Player of the Year. Last year, she led St. Patrick's/St. Vincent High School to its first appearance in the state championship, averaging a double-double of 25.2 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. She returned to win the state championship during her senior campaign.
Monica DeAngelis, 5-7, Guard, Santa Monica, CA
In 2006, DeAngelis helped the Wildcats to a Southern Section championship, earning First Team All-State Division IV honors along the way. A three-time First Team All-League and All-CIF performer, DeAngelis averaged 21.4 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game as a junior. DeAngelis was picked by Sporting News for the 2007-08 preseason Honorable Mention All-American Team. She entered her senior season ranked seventh in the state of California in career three-point baskets made with 324 in her three seasons.
Mikkah Maly-Karros, 6-1, Forward, Manhattan Beach, CA.
Sporting News has selected her as a preseason Honorable Mention All-American. A three-time First Team All-Bay League performer, Maly-Karros was an Honorable Mention All-American selection by Street and Smith after averaging 21.1 points, 16.2 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, 3.1 steals, and 2.4 assists per game as a junior. Last year, led the Mustangs to the CIF Division IA Finals, earning Bay League Most Outstanding Player accolades. She has been named to her class-specific All-State team each season by Cal Hi Sports and has been awarded All-CIF status three times.
Candice Nicholas, 5-10, Guard, Carson, CA
Transfers from Univ of Washington. In high school, she was a standout player at Long Beach Poly, earning two-time CIF First Team honors. She was a two-time First Team All-Moore League selection and was named to the CIF All-Freshman Team in 2004, All-Sophomore Team in 2005, and All-Junior Team in 2006. She helped lead Poly to the state championship as a junior and the CIF Southern Section title as a sophomore. In 2007, Nichols was the #83 player ranked nationally by Hoopgurlz.com.
