I like his size and grit. Meet David in these clips.
In my experience, the Aussies are tough nosed kids, very competitive but gentlemen at the same time.
Has Dunlap unleashed a flurry of interest from other programs now that Humphries has been noted?
He would be a great addition to the roster.

Nice, thanks for the scoop.
1. I agree that his size and grit are strong points. As far as international players go he kind of reminds me of Andres Nocioni w/ his tenacity. 2. He posted up quite a bit, I wonder how he'll adjust to bigger players in the middle, but it's great to see such a well rounded player who can score from anywhere on the floor.

Competition may not have been great in the videos - I agree with that especially regarding his inside game but he seems to be a "beast" (lesser beast perhaps) inside the paint with a 3-point shot. Lets sign him.

Actually his rough and tumble drives and inside game remind of Matthew Dellavadova. Humphrires outside shoe is more of a jump shot whereas Delly's was more of a push shot. But his pinball like bouncing spinning drives remind me of Dellavadova. i note he was also first team juco all- american according to the scholls website last year.
According to verbal commits he was also offered by James Madison tonight and previously by Idaho Statwpe and Youngstown State.
Since he is from Adeliaide, I wonder if his family knows or has any connection with Dunlap because he coached the Adelaide 36ers for a few years.

Saw this tweet regarding Humphries. Question: Does this mean Humphries would not sign with anyone until after May 10? Do these All-Star Games include players that have committed to a college? And if he hasn't signed, and has a big game, other teams could gain interest.
NIACCTrojans @niacctrojans 15h NIACC's David Humphries will play in the NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association all-American all-star game in Las Vegas on May 10.

With Gorski Goneski to Wyoming, Humphries become number one target.

Great comparison in dellavedova.. he does have some delly in him. Not as great a shooter yet by any means though. Got that effective awkwardness to him.

Great news!! Anybody who can register triple-doubles, at any level, is a welcome addition to the squad. Thanks for the great news, aussielion!

David Humphries apparently averaged 36ppg in highschool to go with 12 rebounds. I heard this from an Aussie scout. Throw him out on the wing to go to work! One other point of Interest is that almost all of the Australian kids that Dunlap has recruited went pro after school and that was from the D2 level. If he likes Humphries that is a good sign of his ability/s. One point of note is that I actually think he strokes the three better than Delevadova as I have seen a workout tape of his. Either way it was a good pick up as I spoke to four different college coaches that were not registered on Verbal Commits web page that had offered him, so how many offers did he have is the question. The schools I spoke to were Utah State, Albany, Denver and the last I will not mention.
I will be watching him with great interest. Well done Dunlap on this signature, he is on the way to getting his program to where it should be.

The Autralian/New Zealand route has worked for us and certainly has worked for Santa Maria. Not sure that beating Denver and Albany is super exciting. Dunlap has to hit here and recruit 2015 brilliantly or I'm going to cease donating to my alma mater until Husak is removed

Albany were knocked out by Florida this year and have 3 other Australian players which made them tough competition I would imagine. Not sure about Utah State's history with the Aussie players. As I said, I wonder how many Mid Majors offered him? I guess looking at Saint Mary's, they have done extremely well with Australian players too in the same conference. The way that Dunlap develops youth has impressed me for years.
