Our guys just earned a hard fought victory in round one of this year's NCAA Tourney 4-2 over our neighbors down south at UCI.
We're staying close to home for the round of 32 playing the boys across town at UCLA Sunday at 5PM.

Thanks for posting this. Absolutely this is a big deal. They’ve already beaten UCLA earlier this season. They can do it again for a birth to the sweet 16!

Big upset on our side of the bracket. James Madison beat #4 seed Georgetown, so now the winner of LMU vs. UCLA gets JMU in the Round of 16.

Incredible match by the Lions. Bend don't break. Even though UCLA dominated possession we had the better chances and took one of them.
Hard to believe, but this is our first time to the round of 16 in the Men's NCAA Soccer Tournament.
Even better because of another upset, the Lions (#23 in RPI) play James Madison (#38 in RPI) instead of Georgetown (#2 in RPI).
Let's go Lions!!!

Nice win! Because of the two upsets and both teams being at large bids, online there seems to be confusion as to who hosts between LMU or JMU; would be nice for LMU to host a round of 16.

Good stuff! The sequence where the Lion goalie made an initial point blank save and from the ground extended his arms to block another shot off the rebound was huge.

It was a very competitive and exciting game. The Lion GK and overall defenders were impressive. The held off UCLA the last 25 minutes. UCLA dominated possession, but the Lions pulled through. Intense game. On to the sweet 16!

It looks to be confirmed that our round of 16 game will be played at home at Sullivan Field on the Bluff.
Might be tough attendance wise with it being Thankgiving week at all, but I'm going to try and make it to cheer on the guys.
