Hello Lion Fans,
I came across this article while searching for a Gtown recruit . Just to mentioned in with Villanova, Duke, Maryland and Gtown is quite amazing. All those are elite national championship programs. We have a very "minor" chance but anything is possible. All the incoming players have all mentioned how much Coach Bayno has been a part of their decision to commit. Maybe Terrell do the same!

Vinson Opts Out of National Team Trials for Camps
This one stunned me a bit. Montrose Christian All-Met guard Terrell Vinson pulled out of the USA Basketball under-18 team trials so that he can attend a pair of Reebok-sponsored camps, colleague Stephen Ball reports, passing along this report:
Vinson has confirmed that he opted out of this week's USA Basketball under-18 team trials in Washington in favor of the Rbk U camp in Philadelphia this weekend and the Reebok Big Time tournament in Las Vegas later this month.
"I told them (Team USA officials) that I didn't want to do it," Vinson said. "I really just want to work on my perimeter game so that I'm ready for college."
Vinson confirmed that he is still interested in Georgetown, Villanova, Maryland, Duke and Memphis, and that he has now added Loyola Marymount to his short list.
"They're minor," the All-Met forward said when asked about Loyola. "But I'm looking for a school that's going to get the best out of me and has a good coach that will be there all four years."
Vinson said that had he played for the under-18 national team, playing for national team assistant and Georgetown coach John Thompson III would have probably had a serious impact on his interest in joining the Hoyas next year.
"I would have probably learned a lot from him," said Vinson, in reference to Thompson. "I saw during my recruiting trips there the type of coach he is and the type of life lessons I would learn from him."

Terrell Vinson -6-7 195lbs Ranked #73 in the top 100 Four star Rivals and Scout
Per Scout:
Cut from the combo forward mold. Will be recruited to play both spots and as his skills round out should have a chance to swing to small forward. Noted for his cerebral play and work ethic, he brings a junk yard dog approach to the game.
ESPN: 91 grade
December, 2007: Vinson is one of the most versatile, do it all players in the Class of '09. He is a combo forward who consistently fills up a stat sheet. Terrell is a very good athlete with a variety of ways to score. He has a good nose for the ball and a willingness to compete in the paint. His motivation, court intelligence, and consistency make him a coveted recruit. Terrell has a really nice looking stroke, solid basketball knowledge and a good build which allow him to have a great offensive arsenal. He can take it to the rim and finish on anyone. Vinson plays inside in high school but he's an ideal wing at the next level. His experience down allows him to rebound with the best of them and get out and go.
