Yeah turnovers and 3's are killing us so far, but man Teel is a beast.

And now were falling apart once Teel checks out. We gotta get back in this game.

We couldn't score in a whorehouse.

Definitely an improvement this half. It sounds like we are the aggressors and we are having alot less turnovers.

Does "we" include you, Lyon? The program does not need your kind of remarks.

Better game by our Lions. They are making progress, but its going to take awhile for them to gel and get over the freshman mistakes. Its gonna be a tough season but by the second half we should be playing some good basketball. Next season will be outstanding though.
Go Lions

Another thing to keep in mind here is that looking at the pictures, the arena was practically empty. Maybe the team will be a bit more motivated with the crowd in play.

Did not get to listen to the radio broadcast as I had planned as some out of town visitors kept me occupied.
A few questions and observations:
-Looks like we at least played better in the second half. Were we competitive or was it a blowout that only got closer near the end?
-Sweezy doesn't play yesterday and then starts today. Puzzling to me?
-Deiderichs starting again? Why? He's given no indication he can contribute more than nominally, whether it's the injury or otherwise.
-Marko Deric started too. I assume Bayno is just shaking up things, but looking at the minutes it seems he doesn't even believe in Sweezy, Deids or Deric.
I'm not going to give grades, because quite simply I want to root on the team and look to the future and the way we are playing right now it would be dwelling on the negative.
Hopefully we can shake off opening weekend, get back in Gersten and practice our butts off.
Go Lions!

The question seems to be who is going to step up as second consistent scorer. We need a post player to step up. The season is very young and we have a lot of learning to do. I wish the first home game wasn't vs. a top 10 team in the nation with the Big East POY on it.
No matter how many losses we have this season I won't feel down. I just think about the players we having coming in and things seem amazing again.

I am just still baffled at the fact that we can beat a team like USC and then lose three straight to unranked teams? Wuts up with that?

One was closed door, probably friendlier and looser. This is the first "lights on" NCAA games that our real players have ever played. The future looks really good. It's hard to start the season with 3 back to back games in Iowa and come home to a top 10 team like ironlions said. We just got to support our team. We just need to hussle and make it through this season alive. The promise land is coming.
