Confirmed! Quincy Lawson is the next 3 man on the LMU Squad. He is totally committed to Max and the team. Alex Osborne is taking one more visit but Max has already worked his magic and it's a matter of time.javascript:add("%20:D")
Max Has now recruited the best incoming freshman class ever at Loyola! javascript:add("%208-)") ESPN ratings: Given Kalipinde -90 Quincy Lawson -88 Ed Garibay - -84 Alex Osborne -78 (reduce from 85 for some unknown reason)
Tention's last year recruited no-one over 50 rating.
I think we got a winner Coach here, folks! Brilliant X & O's (especially defense) and now his recruiting apparatus appears very strong.
Also all four coaches, including Max, were in the waiting room when Larry Davis had his heel surgery. The surgery went very well and Davis is motivated to follow instructions to the "T". So that should translate into a quicker recovery.
It that type of relationship these coaches have built with the players that not a single one is transferring out of the program. San Diego. Santa Clara and USF all are suffering transfers from their programs.

this is amazing news. The team will be athletic, long, defensive and have multiple scoring options as well. I can not wait for next year. I believe GU Portland and LMU will be battling for supremacy in the WCC. If Mills returns then add smc to the list

Great News and congratulations to Max and his staff for catching this one! Nice to hear of the relationship of the coaches with Davis in the hospital also - bodes well for LMU togetherness.

By the way, do you know when this will hit the press or LMU's website? Or does it have to wait until the reported April 15 signing date?

From Scout:
Quincy Lawson, 6-6 SR SF Vista (Calif.) High, has committed to Loyola Marymount. Lawson was a bit under the radar prior to last fall, but he's improved significantly in the last year and he has a chance to be an impact player at Loyola Marymount. "I like everything about Loyola," said Lawson. "The coaching staff, the campus, the players they have there -- just everything about the school."
Lawson went on to say, "They see me playing at the two or the three and think I'll be able to help them on defense."
Lawson said the other schools involved in his recruitment included Creighton, San Diego and UC Riverside.

Awesome - Basketball season starts before Christmas occurs so we have less time to wait but equally exciting - especially for LMU basketball "kids."

Quincy has moved from the 53rd Shooting Guard to the 37th Small Forward. Very Nice.
