Miller found ways to turn it on last season. Some games the spigot was dry though and we suffered like during the WCC tourney. We'll need to see that % of shots dropping rise if we want to win.

What concerns me with today's "high 20s" shooting percentage is that the coaching staff is now playing fast pace game. I would hope we can get some easy baskets this way if we hussle. However, if we are in the 20s during the season, we are going to get crushed. It is nearly impossible to win with a shooting percentage in the 20s.

It's good that we are gauging ourselves with a post-season team in a scrimmage setting rather than playing them during the season. I heard they have a very young team too.

Nevada ranked #15 in the AP poll, I would say that is good competition.

From what I have seen he is our best post player! He is tough and rugged and banger under the boards. He has a nice array of post moves. Once he is puts on some muscle watch out.

It was just there first scrimmage. The shooting will come. 1st time for a lot of them in a true D1 scrimmage. Its cool really, these young guys are having fun, bonding and going to get it done in the next two years. dead3man, I love to hear this....within two years we are "going to get it done." I am on your same page. We will be dancing in 2 years at the NCAAs. Go Lions!

I like that lineup. From what I hear it looks realistic too.

The line up seems on point. However with such a young team we should be prepared to see many variations.

I'll stick with my June 25th predictions and fill the one spot that was "open for discussion".
PG - Quentin Turner SG/Combo - Jon Ziri SF/Wing - Orlando Johnson PF - Marko Deric PF - Terron Sutton
Agree with "ironlions" comment..."such a young team we should be prepared to see many variations"

With the coaching staff and AD spouting the "youth movement" mantra ad nauseum I am not surprised to hear that 1st team from Nevada and expect it to be the same as we open the season.
Tention will want to want to see all fresh faces out there at first. Deric and Ziri will have a chance to start if they can make it happen on the court. Just like last season I do expect a lot of variety. But then again maybe things will gel and I certainly won't complain.
I'm shocked about Tim though. Like his attitude, great guy, but didn't think he'd start. Not sure what that is all about but I plan on finding out.

The line up is likely to change over the course of the season, so this is definitely not a "done" deal.
It looks more and more likely that Ziri will come off the bench and Tim will get some serious playing time. I really wish Max can improve enough to become a starter, I just like the idea of a 7 footer standing underneath the basket looking for flesh. Hehe...

Max looks like he has lost some weight. He was getting up and down the court pretty well the last time I saw him. Both him and Sutton need to work on their game down low. From what I seen the both use these baby hooks that are pretty ineffective.
