Thanks LIONS90045.
Did you guys see how they are marketing this game to bring people in? Crumbl cookies..... Instead of thinking of ways to imrpvoe our program they are trying to market to people by offering free cookies... That is how stupid the athetlics department and this administration thinks LMU alum and fans are. What a disgrace.

Someone should tell them that beer would be a better incentive.

Its only 500 cookies and only for the first students to arrive. Season ticket holders already get 2 free beers per game (I believe). Yes a winning program would be a better incentive. I think they got good student attendance in our first game but losing causes the students to lose interest fast.

Anyone interested in an early look at Gonzaga can see them play Long Beach State tonight at 7 pm on ESPN+. The Zags are favored by 33. Cookies and beer available at home.

Thanks Lions90045 I'll just add Treysen Eaglestaff and Amar Kuljuhovic were both preseason All-Summit League 1st Team selections. Eaglestaff was also awarded North Dakota Mr. Basketball his senior year of high school.
Common Opponent: They lost their first game of the season to Colorado St 82-56
This is technically part of the Cancun Challenge where a Riviera Division hosts a Mayan Division team.

Thanks Booth It was basically 2 players that beat us at SLU - Swoop and Jimerson who each had 23 points. So I guess we’ll have to play this game after all to see who wins?

The Zags beat Long Beach State by 43 points. Isn’t State one of the teams we lost to in a “secret scrimmage?”

The word I heard was that we beat them handily

Dominick Harris is 1/13 over 4 games with UCLA. He only played 3 minutes last night. I wonder if he is beginning to regret transferring?

That is how stupid the athetlics department and this administration thinks LMU alum and fans are. What a disgrace. How would a marketing staff decision to do a cookie giveaway to students in ANY way, have to do with taking time away from improving our program? You really think the actual basketball minds in the BASKETBALL program are scheming up cookie giveaways instead? Like c'mon dude. You can be frustrated with the team's play but trying to connect these two things is absolutely asinine and you know it. The cookie giveaway was happening, whether they were 3-0 or 0-3 at this point.

The Zags beat Long Beach State by 43 points. Isn’t State one of the teams we lost to in a “secret scrimmage?” It was indeed Fresno State. And the Zags are on their own planet, yet people still believe they are somehow "good for this conference".

The Zags are good for providing an excuse for why we don't have any conference championships in my lifetime. I think Gonzaga leaving hurts Saint Mary's as they will ultimately regress to the pack, leaving the WCC to have a lot more parity and ultimately benefiting the rest of the teams in the conference.
We will definitely miss the revenue they provide from all the TV and Tourney appearances, so I am a bit worried on how that will impact is moving forward, but I would rather be Missouri Valley Conference over the last 10-15 years than a top heavy WCC.
