I think you mean 4-4 record after Academy of Art game. I'd be happy with an 8-8 record after completing our non-conference schedule. Seems more than realistic.

Key to the win - get Viney the ball, play defense, and rebound. The rest will take care of itself.

OJ had been held silent as a lion before so shutting him down can be done. This should be a great matchup and the lions will really need to come ready to play in order to win. Hopefully a crowd will come out and give the lions a home court advantage. I'd imagine there will be several Gauchos making the trip to LA.

Well - depends who's a starter....
1. Highest shooting % - Viney - unless Kevin is a starter, then Kevin 2. Lowest shooting % - JD 3. Best rebounder - Edgar 4. Best FT % - JD, with Viney right behind him 5. Lowest FT % - Vernon (Larry, but he's injured now) 6. Bench players at 100% FT - Given and AO 7. Leader in A/S/TO ... too easy, your ball handler - Vernon 8. Minutes per game - Vernon 9. Edgar has fouled out 10. Bench player shooting 1 for 1 - Kelsey 11. Minutes per game - still Vernon 12. Defensive rebounder - Viney 13. Blocked shots - Edgar (with Kevin right behind him) 14. Most made FT's - Vernon; Second - Viney (but .... Viney is shooting 82% to Vernon's 61%)
Fun number games...

Excellent irish! - 100% - A+ - I think of KY as a starter, shooting 56.8%.

What is the latest word on Davis? Think maybe they were just saving him for this game vs UCSB? It is a much more winnable game and extra incentive with former player returning. Or is his injury serious enough to keep him out a few more games? I'm hoping it is not.

The official LMU release states that Davis has swelling in the heel and will be a game time decision for the UCSB game.

Personally, I would prefer to see Larry get really well before returning. Let him rest another week or two - we certainly won't need him on Tuesday against Academy of Art - and frankly his performance injured has not helped the team since the Montana tournament. Even in Montana, while he played great, he did have a seemingly inordinate number of travel calls which I attribute to his injury hampering his mobility. We can beat UCSB without Larry - just need to stop their 6'5" scorers and we have the size to do that.

UCSB favored by one point - basically a "pick 'em" game to the odds makers.
