Utah State 6’7” grad transfer Caleb Stone-Carrawell is now a Lion! Averaged 11.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.6 apg, 34% from 3 (42/124). Slight correction - Carrawell played last season at Utah Valley State University in Orem. UVU plays in the Western Athletic Conference. Utah State U is in Logan and plays in the more competitive Mountain West. New Lion Armey played last season for San Jose State in the MWC. Before coaching at BYU, Mark Pope coached at UVU. He took several UVU players with him when he went to BYU, so you’ve seen a few UVU players. It’s apparent that Coach Stan learned at least one lesson last season — You’ve gotta have 3-spot wings if you want to play with the big boys. He’s picked up a couple of those this off season.

Caleb played last season with now assistant coach Wilson. 2nd in the team with minutes played and points scored. This will be his 4th team in 5 years. Started at Charlotte, then 2 seasons at Austin Peay. This puts us over by 1?

His dad was a really good player at Duke, Chris Carrawell. Good genes.

Harris just announced he’s going to UCLA. Congrats to him. He is graduating a Lion as well. He is going to be great at UCLA. Without him being a bridge this last season, we would not be getting some of these guys this year.

Noah Taitz? Could be - I didn’t think of that.

Just curious, why was Taitz featured so sparingly this year? Definitely thought he was going to be our sharpshooter type of player, but that never materialized. Was it injury issues, or simply not doing well enough to get playing time?

I wonder if he got another medical redshirt? He was in the on line videos early in the year and then nothing by the time league started.

He has a lingering (multi-year) calf injury that, apparently, didn't resolve this past season. I hope it gets better but it could be one of those things....

Caleb Stone-Carrawell could be the sleeper pick up of the year. He has all the shots and knows his way around the floor. Great add to the team. These are for golions1444!
