Can't recall any players from Kuwait!? Always knew Operation Desert Storm would pay off somehow. But seriously, no harm in giving a walk-on to a kid that size.

Douglas. My friend did say that to me and he is an assistant coach and recruiter for a university in the Pac-12. He went to a smaller school and was hurt for a while this year, but he was seen because of the young point guard on the team. "The Douglas kid is a high major type school recruit, maybe a glue type guy for a year. But not for you guys. He's probably your best player day 1. Defense, transition, iso, shot out to the stripe." He did like Gipson, who hasn't shown me much, and I think one other kid who wasn't that good, but the only other players he mentioned like that where Jared Dubois, "He should have waited a bit, he'll be real nice player for you, and Orlando Johnson, "There was a tournament late where everyone realized they missed on this kid. I tried to poach him and I wasn't alone, but it was too late." But, yeah, I'd be surprised if Douglas isn't pretty damn good. Recruiting and spotting talent is obviously not an exact science, but my friend has a pretty big house at this point. - the Douglas kid, what did I tell you? Me - That he'd be our best player, day 1. Batemon. - I didn't say that. Said he's a better modern wing than any of our recruits at ..... State. Batemon's nice. I wouldn't be shocked if he get's a shot at a 2-way.

Ireland - I actually was thinking about your earlier post about Douglas - "the best player to set foot on LMU campus 30 seconds after he arrives" (paraphrasing). True indeed.

Can't wait to see how Douglas follows up such a great performance. I would definitely love to see Batemon get a chance to play at the next level after all he's doing for the program.

Was reffing at the Westchester Tournament this weekend. Coach Patrick Sandle was there watching the LB Poly game, watching Giordan Williams. Prior to the start of the Championship game, CMD and another coach walked in, and I was able to confirm that they were watching Kaelen Allen from Westchester, who I was told also has an offer to the school. Kaelen is a beast of a player, and comes from a great family. Was the Co-City player of the year last year.

It seems our listed competition was 3 Low Major schools. CMD is quite adept at picking JC and low majors level talent. The carousel keeps going round and round but we aren’t going anywhere.
