Interesting game tonight when Zags visit St. Mary's. SMC has been on a skid since Patty went down. It will be interesting to see how the Gaels respond tonight. The game is on ESPN 2.

They got whoooped by Santa Clara. That has got to hurt their confidence going into this game. Could get ugly.

Hughes was fouled.
Not deserving of either victory against Saint Marys, Gonzaga needs to throw both wins back. Being the trout fisherman, Few should know this.

NBA scouts don't thing too much of Austin Daye of GU: Austin Daye, 6-11 sophomore forward, Gonzaga: "This kid will get you fired. Soft? He invented soft. Jeff Adrien cold ****ed him when they played UConn, and he spent the rest of the game behind the three-point line. I'm not denying he has a high skill level, but you better surround him with a lot of bullies." sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/seth_davis/02/24/hoop.thoughts/index.html?eref=T1 I noticed him whining a lot when we played him. I wish I had the problem of being too skinny! HAHA! Thanks! That is awesome. Austin Daye is perfect GU material, it seems. He's a drama queen with a lot of attitude, from what I've seen on TV.

Interesting update Iron. Trumaine Johnson is not shown on the USD roster any more. Daye was passed over by UCLA for his apparent weaknesses but he can hurt opponents in the WCC. How do you stop a 6'11" shooting guard who pours in the 3's? Bully him maybe?

Daye is only a sophomore. He could still mature. I mean just look at Chris Ayer's attitude his sophomore year... oh wait he never changed.
Well anyways, Daye still has an immense amount of skills and potential that the NBA loves. I mean how many 6'11 players with guard skills and athleticism are there in college basketball? Very few.
As much as his attitude is not the best right now in his basketball career, you put 10 guys with his skill level on a team and you are cutting down the nets at the end of the season

He could play for LMU - would not mind having a 6'11" shooting guard. Maybe for Phil Jackson also if he is still coaching and if Daye can play defense.

MAN you have a vendetta against Chris, don't you?
Well....all the same. I hate Heytvelt and hated Morrison. You hate Ayer....makes sense...I guess I can't complain...Chris was never the friendliest. I had him in my class. In Philosophy, he was one smart cookie, though - believe it or not.

Not a vendetta at all. He just gets what he gives out. Ayer was not friendly to anyone I knew.... anyone. Ayer walked around like he was Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan combined.
You hate Morrison and Heytfelt because they are Zags. You do not know them personally and I am sure have not met them. for all you know they could be the second coming of Ghandi. Ayer gave us a reason to dislike him.
Back to Daye though. He is still an extremely talented player no matter what kind of personality he has.
Alert..... 4 losses??? haha. I didnt expect them to go undefeated in WCC play either.
Hey is anyone heading down to Vegas for the tourney?? I'll be there!

Makes it a lot easier when possibly the best player in the WCC is injured. USD was down their strongest player, too, weren't they? It's sad when injuries can destroy a good run.
Is it really necessary to come onto LMU's board and continually bag on one of our former players? We get the point. You don't like him. Do you have to bring it up all the time?

SCU had Gonzaga on the ropes last night but the fell apart at the end. This included someone in the student section who threw a water bottle on the floor and gave the Broncs a Technical. STUPID.

Seriously a water bottle? Some people just cannot be allowed in public.

a water bottle and then later a piece of aluminum foil. The two incidents led to TWO technicals and four points for the Zags.

They actually had TWO technicals on the students for throwing stuff. One was a water bottle another was a ball of foil (hot dog wrapper or something). In the end that was 4 points given the Gonzaga...and in my opinion that was a game changer. This is what happens when you have big games like that and have a bunch of students show up who never usually go to a game and have no idea how to behave. I remember similar nonsense at LMU a few years back.
