Sad and disgusting story. Why can't everyone be like us? With big security guards.

Yup, phurther. I remember it too. I believe it was a Pepperdine game that was stolen from us...oh that was a BAAAAAAAD game. Students threw their megaphones on the court toward the end. We didn't get a technical called on us, though. Crowd control fixed that.

Like I said - big security guards solve these things - in fact we could use them under the basket some nights.

BTW, We talked to O'leary after the game and he said Mills will not be coming back for the WCC or NCAA tournament. He also said Mills will be entering his name into the NBA draft next year. Take his word for whatever you want.

So who is daring to entertain a championship for anyone other than Goonzaga?

Gonzaga will win. Saint Marys second even without Mills. Portland a close third. Not enough support for John Bryant for Santa Clara to finish above fourth. Really a crap shoot after these four. We might win one, and could win two, in both cases only if our shooters are on that night - but that's it for this year.

I really wanted Pilots to finish second in the WCC.

I do not think that the Zags are going to have as easy a path as you all seem to think. Portland has played them fairly well, and Saint Mary's has come close to beating them twice. Santa Clara was right in the game two nights ago before some drunk fans getting two technical fans for the Broncos. If I had to bet on the games I would put my money on the Zags, but I do not think its going to be an easy road at all. We are talking about teams playing for their season here. They are not going to just lay down and let the Zags easily take it. I look at a team like Saint Mary's who have a few seniors who will be playing their last games if they happen to lose. I would not be surprised if the Gaels take the tournament.... with or without Mills. If they do not, I doubt they get in the NCAA's

Fair analysis - Gonzaga is in NCAA in either case so other teams will be hungrier. Let's see who is most hungry.

That's pretty sad that Patty Mills is giving up on the Gaels so easily. They got him here, they got him noticed, now he's moving on...

I don't think hes giving up. He has the opportunity to play in the Top league in the world in the sport he loves, and make millions of dollars. It would be pretty hard for most to pass that up. Plus he has already shown he can play with the best in the Olympics. I think its a good choice for him

I hope his broken hand with a surgically implanted pin heals well. He seems like a quality player.
